Siletz Bay Music Festival

General Information:
Siletz Bay Music Festival brings live musical performances and community outreach programs featuring internationally renowned musicians.  An important goal of the Festival is to supplement the musical education for the over 5,200 students of Lincoln County by providing direct student interaction with the Festival’s professional, world- class musicians. The 2016 season brought featured performers such as Ken Peplowski, Jazz Clarinetist and Saxophonist, Dick Hyman who was music director for Benny Goodman and movie score composer for Woody Allen. Also featured for 2016 were Soprano Nicole Greenidge Joseph, Pianist Mei-Ting Sun and child prodigy Adam Jackson under the keen tutelage of Artistic Director, Conductor Yaacov Bergman, who trained under Leonard Bernstein, has led orchestras in major world cities and now resides in New York. In the 2016 season, the Festival brought jazz, classical, and musical theater to over 2000 people at 14 community performances, master classes, and open rehearsals, offering 25% to the public and free of charge.

Company Features:

The summer festival is scheduled for June 21 – July 4th. Concerts are set for the Lincoln City Cultural Center, Congregational Church, Eden Hall (Side Door Cafe), Taft High School and Salishan Golf and Spa Resort. The talented musicians and vocalists visiting Lincoln City as part of the festival will also conduct educational outreach for Lincoln County students and members of the public who have shown a love of learning and new experiences! SBMF is proud to be the steward for an on-going grant which is administered by Studio to Schools, which is used purely for our local schools, making music mandatory for our 6th graders, hiring music teachers and purchasing music instruments.  Additional information and upcoming events for SBMF can be seen at our website.
